Bangkok Food Options

September 16, 2017

One of the best things about living in Bangkok is the amazing food options one has. You can have an artisan French croissant for brekkie, American clack bean burgers for lunch and debate if you will go for Japanese Sushi or Thai street food for dinner. The combinations and options are endless. And if you are not feeling like going out to dine, you could simply order in through one of the many delivery services Bangkok offers.

With this variety of food choices available, it is easy to slip into ordering whatever you feel like. This post offers a (not exhausting but certainly mouth-watering) array of food caterers around Bangkok who deliver a great nutritional value for your Baht. Most of these focus on plant based nutrition.

Here are in no particular order a list of food ordering places that will provide you with beautiful, nutritious products.

Radiance Whole foods, offers a great variety of nuts, seeds, organic veggies, fruit and spices.

Sunshine Market has a great online shop that provides almost everything one needs in a plant based diet including some nutritional supplements.

Barefood Bangkok offers some amazing vegan cheese options.

Bake The Sprout offers great bread, dips, sprouts and cookies!

I am sure I left off some amazing providers so if you happen to read this post and know of more delivery options, please leave a note in the comments.

Some amazing plant based food options for dining out are the following:

Broccoli Revolution which offers delicious meals at a reasonable price and their juices are worth a detour!

Simple Natural Kitchen has an amazing atmosphere and staff. They are happy to alter any of the dishes to fit your dietary needs.

May's Veggie Home has some incredible dishes that are prepared with organic, natural products. Their Thai style dishes are amongst the best in Bangkok. And that is saying a lot, I think.

Veganerie Concept does a lot of really nice, taste dishes and is a great option to take first time or reluctant plant based eaters. They will absolutely love the place!

Na Aroon is a real gem that is tucked away at the back of Sukhumvit Soi 1. They offer really great Thai dishes in an amazing setting. Take visitors from overseas here for a great experience.

Rasayana Retreat is a fully raw plant based food restaurant that is tucked away along Sukhumvit Soi 39. A professional holistic health retreat in the centre of Bangkok! Detox options and the lot are available if you are unable to travel to an exotic location and stay there for a week.

Steps with Theera is a must visit, period. This lovely place is a coffee shop and vocational training centre supporting people with special needs transition to sustainable employment opportunities and live fulfilling lives.

Govinda is an Italian restaurant & pizzeria on Sukhumvit Soi 22. Want a gluten free Italian experience? Visit this place. It was established in the year 1997 and is voted to be Asia's Top 10 Vegetarian restaurants. With many awards and recognition, Govinda's is one of the most successful vegetarian restaurants in Thailand.

Sustaina is one of those restaurants you will want to come back to. The restaurant uses organic vegetables mainly from Harmony Life Organic farm. Sustaina uses no meat products but does serve seafood. Their cuisine is based on the Japanese kitchen but some delicious fusion dishes can be found on the menu as well.

As mentioned at the start of this post, this list is far from complete but gives you an indication where to go for your next plant based dinner experience. For further guidance on plant based food options, check out Vegan guide BKK or HappyCow BKK. If you have any suggestions to add for Bangkok food options post #2, please leave a note in the comment box below and I will be more than happy to go and check it out! Mjum!!
